I wrote a story a while ago about my journey to rid myself of Google.

I already owned a domain, that I’ve had for years, so I decided to put it to good use.
Since I own the domain, it now doesn’t matter where I host it, and for starters, I’ve created my own iCloud account (which is something quite new).
I updated the DNS settings for the domain, and now all my emails come to my own email account.
